Bush’s Market began more than 8 decades ago, when Henry Bush started selling cucumbers under a shade tree. That same tree still stands at our present location on 25th street.
It may sound as if we’re located in town, but our farm and main store are in the country. Our farm spans more than 260 acres, and we rent additional space so that we can offer our assortment of produce. The Bush family still owns and operates our business, upholding a standard of excellence we established back in 1929.
Our goal is to supply the entire Columbus area with healthy food options. From summer to fall, we make sure you have a variety of the freshest fruits to choose from. Our selection changes depending on the time of year.
Our seasonal produce includes:
Red, white, and yellow onions
Summer and winter squash
Winter is our sausage season. We’re known for our fresh pork sausages, which became available when Bush's Market started slaughtering in the mid-1930s. Our sausages are a favorite among members of our community and surrounding areas.
Family Fun at Bush’s Market
We regularly hold activities and events on our farm. The firing of the pumpkin cannon is just one of our eagerly awaited fall activities. Stop by during the harvest of pumpkins, gourds, winter squash, and Indian corn. Bring your loved ones along to see the beautiful displays and take part in photo opportunities.
We carry summer vegetables during the season. If you can’t visit our farm, stop by our booth at the Columbus Farmers Market, and take your pick from our summer produce.
